One of the biggest mistakes you can make is mowing Bermuda at a spring scalp height in the middle of summer.
In the spring, Bermuda benefits from a lower cut to remove dormant material and encourage new growth. But once summer arrives, the mowing height should be raised. Cutting it too low exposes the stems, causes scalping, creates deck lines, and puts unnecessary stress on the turf. The result is exactly what you see here brown patches, an unhealthy appearance, and weeks of recovery.
