We are a husband and wife team growing pretty things, good eats and raising our family here at The Farmhouse. We grow 100% of what we sell, and our offerings change naturally with the spring / summer / fall season.

After a few nips of frost over the last week our dahlias are officially done for the year. They are usually our last remaining (substantial quantity) offering, so without their blooms we are officially calling it quits for the flower season. I hate even saying that, but on the other hand rest and recovery is a good thing.

Speaking of rest and recovery (😉😜🙃), we’ll continue fall cleanup, dig, divide and store dahlia tubers, plant our spring tulips and daffodil bulbs and start getting organized for wreath season. 🎄🎅🏻❤️🎄

We’ve got our website all set to take pre-orders for this Saturday (10/3). Looking at the forecast, this might be our last flower offering for the season. It looks like there are some cold nights coming up. 😢

We don’t plan for flowers this late in the year, so our filler flower game is a little light this week. To make up for it, we’ll stuff each bouquet with a few extra dahlias, along with light fill. We have a mix of red, pink, purple and orange dahlias for the week.

I love the slower pace of life in the fall. Well, at least it’s slower in the garden, that is. Sure there are things I could do, like cleanup, for example, but I’m being a lazy bum.

The only garden task I completed today was making this bunch for the front desk at my big girl job. No rush, no to-do list, no stress - just enjoying the fruits of our labor. 💐❤️

I’m back on the farm and I am trying to soak all the beauty in before it’s gone. The dahlias are doing so well - they always seem to be at their best late in the season. I’m feeling thankful that we still have them this late into September. We will be back with a flower offering next Saturday (10/3) and I’ll open up pre-orders on Wednesday. 💐❤️

Throwing this post out there for a weekend update! Our garden has survived these last few cold nights! 🙌🏻 We live to see another flower day. However, this is important, ‼️ we will NOT have a flower offering this weekend. ‼️

I (Alanna) committed to another event that is going to make it difficult to have flowers ready for Saturday morning. We plan to be back 10/3 if the weather holds. We do have flowers, so if you can arrange a farm pickup we could likely find a day (after Saturday) to get them ready for you. So please message us if that is the case.

Hi! 👋🏻For this next Saturday (9/19), we are bringing all of our usable stems to Woodfire Candle Co for their fall market. Just like last year, we’ll have a flower bar setup where you can make your own arrangement! We’ll also have a few other fun things to share with you. Come and admire, play, create or just visit with Ross and I and the many other vendors that will be at this market.

Happy flower day!! Your flowers are / will be ready at the pickup location you selected. Thank you all for the orders! ❤️ There is one extra bunch (of dahlias) at each location today.

We’ll keep having flowers as long as the frost stays away. Next weekend we will be at Woodfire Candle Co for their fall market. We will need every stem for that event so the only way to get flowers next weekend is to swing on over to the event. We’ll be setting up a flower bar again so you can play with flowers before winter comes. 💐❤️
