🎃 You’ve got the lights. The inflatables. The spooky decorations. The extension cords. And before you know it, your electrical system is working harder than the guy handing out full-size candy bars.

Before you plug in your Halloween display, swipe through these 5 things to check:

⚡ Don’t overload your circuits
🏠 Plan where your outdoor decorations will get power
🔌 Use outdoor-rated extension cords and avoid daisy chaining
☔ Make sure outdoor outlets have GFCI protection
🚨 Pay attention to breakers that repeatedly trip

And remember, Halloween is just the warm-up. Thanksgiving cooking and Christmas lights are right behind it.

If your home needs more outlets, electrical repairs or a service upgrade before the holiday season gets into full swing, call Bock Electric at 575-644-4879.
