I have all natural soap available for anyone interested ❤️🫧 Made with organic coconut oil and organic olive oil, colored with natural colors (French pink clay, activated charcoal and turmeric in these bars), and scented with essential oils so there’s no artificial frangrance or colors in these bars.

The pink bar is scented with Rose essential oil and the other is a warm Vanilla. These were made on Friday and ready to use, but will last a bit longer in the shower if they’re let to cure longer and harden up for another week or so. The cream color will also end up turning more of a white as they sit.

Bars are $6 each or 3 for $15. 😊

Located in German Valley, IL but can meet anywhere from Freeport-Belvidere and most places in between!

Two of the olive egger pullets I kept from my Spring hatch. Look at those muffs! 😍 Keeping all fingers crossed that their eggs are just as pretty!

If they’re only going to give me two eggs a day, at least they’re pretty 🫣

The speckled egg is from a black copper marans and the pink, heavy bloom egg is from a lavender Orpington my daughter named Grape Pop 💜

The bees have been absolutely loving this sedum right now! They have loved it all summer but especially now when a lot of other nectar sources have disappeared. I think the ones visiting most these days are male bees because they haven’t been stinging Scotty, who continually picks them up 🐝

This sedum is from my Grandma’s old house in Shannon. I had a lot more of it in our garden in Kentucky, but the pots I had planted it in were filled with ants. I brought a little piece hoping it would make it, and it’s blooming so beautifully! I’m not sure if I’m going to let it take over this planter for next year or transplant it into our landscaping 🤔

Tomato horn worms are never fun to find… thankfully they found my tomatoes late this year. I’ve already picked off over ten and I know there’s many more that I just can’t find 🫠

While packing for our move I found three wrinkled and sprouted potatoes. I brought them along so that I wouldn’t have to spend money on seed potatoes that probably weren’t going to sprout and produce anything with the little amount of time they’d be in the ground. Well, I was wrong 😅

Three organic, store bought potatoes planted in July in northern Illinois turned into all this 🤩 and we picked some of the small onions that weren’t going to make it any bigger.

Did we need more strawberry plants? From an outside perspective, no. Did it drive me crazy that my kids were bummed because they could only could pick a couple a day? Absolutely yes. So… we have more everbearing strawberry plants in the ground 😅

Friendly reminder that you don’t have to can a lot in order to can. 🫙🍑 We got back from out of town and the peaches I had left were getting real wrinkley. I cut them up and they filled three jars so into the water bath they went!

In honor of the fact that the last batch of sauce is in the canner, we’re enjoying a glass of homemade raspberry lemonade. I’m tired 😅

Watering the garden while the kiddos pick (and eat) strawberries. It doesn’t get better than this ❤️🍓
