Changing Seasons first opened our doors in August 1991. We started with a simple slogan “Watch Us Grow” – and we have! We are a full-service garden center offering a broad selection of plants, gardening gifts, hydroponic supplies, beautiful pottery, expert advice and much more. We have very knowledgeable staff with a combined experience of more than 80 years.

Plants are our passion. To help bring your landscape dreams to life, we offer landscape design services specializing in planting, brick and stone patios and paths, fire pits, pizza ovens, retaining walls, landscape lighting and much more. We can help you transform your outdoor living space into whatever suits your tastes and lifestyle.Owner, Trent Mohlenbrock, is an Illinois Certified Nursery Professional and a landscape designer. Trent’s interest with plants began when he was a small child tagging along with his dad, Dr. Robert H. Mohlenbrock, Distinguished Professor of Botany, Southern Illinois University.

Serving Southern Illinois Since 1991 Trent Mohlenbrock began Changing Seasons Landscape Center in 1991. We closed the garden center in the Fall 2019. Trent is still doing landscape consulting, designing and general plant coaching.
