We're glad to share that STEMpact WV and Design-Build-Live were named recipients of an inaugural Focus Forward grant from the WV Public Education Collaborative and the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation — $10,000 for RAISE Appalachia: Rural AI Skills & Engagement for Appalachia.

All of this happens at PHYSICS 106 N. Main St. in Moorefield — Potomac Highlands Youth Stream Initiative & Community Support.

PHYSICS is the space we've been building with STEMpact WV: a maker space, a robotics home, and a place where kids and adults in this area can get their hands on real tools and real skills.

AI is going to shape the jobs in this state whether rural counties are ready or not. This grant is about making sure people here are ready — through workshops, workforce partnerships, and community outreach.
