Roofers come in all shapes and sizes — just ask JB. 😂

We’re out here doing more than putting roofs on buildings. We’re breaking stereotypes, teaching young men a skilled trade, and building the next generation of roofers from the ground up.

Anybody can complain that “good help is hard to find.” We’d rather train them, invest in them, and give them an opportunity to become craftsmen.

Because when the next big storm rolls through and everybody’s fighting over who gets the next available crew, we won’t be looking for one — we’ll have a couple built, trained, and ready to go.

That’s the difference between hiring labor and building a team.

Mid 20s, early 30s, and now—same industry, just a whole lot more roofs, leaks, repairs, mistakes learned from, problems solved, and long days in between.

At All Florida Systems, we do not just know roofing from a sales pitch, a class, or behind a desk. Our experience comes from being in the field: on the roof, in the attic, chasing leaks, fixing failed work, and figuring out the jobs that are not always straightforward.

Experience is not just how many years you can put on paper. It is how many real problems you have actually had to solve.

Shoutout to Jerimiah Ball

He started with us at 19 as the official tool bitch—running material, carrying ladders, grabbing whatever everyone else forgot, and learning the hard way.

Now he is 21 and heading into his third rainy season with All Florida Systems as a lead technician.

Some contractors see a young kid and get skeptical. That is fine. Let him get on the roof, find the leak, fix it, and then you can ask how old he is.

Three years of roofing service work every day will teach you more than standing around a jobsite for ten years talking about how things “used to be done.”

This week was a little bit of everything.

Another 8-unit multifamily complex knocked out, multiple skylight replacements, full metal roof restorations, and flat roof repairs across several different roof systems.
Shingle. Tile. Metal. Flat roofs.

That’s the service side of roofing — every roof is different, every leak tells a different story, and there’s no “one-size-fits-all” fix.

At All Florida Systems, we don’t just show up and throw caulk at a problem. We inspect it, diagnose it, repair it the right way, and document the process.

Before and after on a drainage correction project.
This section of roof had significant ponding water due to improper slope. To correct the issue, we installed a tapered system and raised the area approximately 4 inches, sloping it down properly to the drain.
We returned about 3 weeks later to inspect the area and confirm the system was performing as intended. As shown in the photos, the standing water issue was greatly improved.
Proper drainage is critical on low-slope roofing systems. Prolonged ponding water can lead to premature roof deterioration, added weight on the structure, and a higher risk of leaks.
If your flat or low-slope roof is holding water, it may be a sign that the drainage system needs to be evaluated.

In the roofing industry, most people look at the next roofer as competition.

Over the years, I’ve built solid relationships with other roofing contractors throughout SWFL — and I’ve learned you’ll go a lot farther when you can respect each other, support each other, and be happy for someone else’s success.

Jealousy doesn’t build anything.

Good work, good people, and good relationships do. 💪🏽

Instead, we’re finding:
✔ Rotten plywood
✔ Water-damaged framing
✔ Old “repairs” still leaking years later
✔ Missing foam closures on a newer metal roof install

Moral of the story:
Maintenance is cheaper than surprises.
