A client forwarded us an email last week. Said something felt off.
They were right. π©
Here's what we spotted in about 10 seconds:
The sender's address was one letter off from the real company. Close enough to fool a quick glance.
The link in the body went to a completely different domain than what it showed. You'd only catch it if you hovered over it first.
The language was urgent and threatening. "Your account will be suspended. Act now." Real companies don't talk like that.
These three things show up in almost every phishing attempt we see. It's not about being technical. It's about knowing what to look for.
If you ever get an email that feels off, trust that instinct. And if you want a second pair of eyes on something suspicious, we're always a message away.
