Throwback to a pre-treat job from last year where we flushed this centipede out of hiding! 🐛⚡

Texas red-headed centipedes are fast, aggressively defensive, and give a nasty bite if given the chance. Pre-treatments and thorough perimeter barriers around your foundation, porches, and entry points are key to stopping these crawling surprises before they make their way inside your home.

If you are dealing with centipedes, scorpions, or other pests around your property, we have you covered with proven Hill Country treatment plans.

Did you know bark scorpions fluoresce bright yellow-green under ultraviolet light? 🦂✨

We took the blacklights out for a nighttime perimeter hunt around this Hill Country home. Tracking down where scorpions harbor at night—along stone retaining walls, patio edges, weep holes, and expansion joints—is essential for keeping them out of your living space.

If you are tired of running into scorpions inside, DIY sprays usually aren't enough to break the cycle. Targeted perimeter barriers and professional exclusion are key.

⚠️ LOCAL HEADS-UP: Tawny Crazy Ants are surging around Mountain Oaks, Charter Oak, Rebecca Creek, River Chase, and the 2673 corridor.

If you see swarms around your outdoor AC units, well heads, or electrical boxes, PLEASE do not spray them with store-bought repellents (like Demon WP).

Store sprays panic these multi-queen super-colonies, causing them to "bud" and split into 3 or 4 new nests even closer to your home.

They require specialized non-repellent transfer chemistry that carries back to wipe out the queens deep in the colony.

We have 2 route openings left for this Monday (Aug 17) in these specific neighborhoods.

(Please share this with neighbors in these pockets so they don't accidentally split the nests with OTC spray!)

Crazy ants driving you nuts around the lake? We finally have the fix. 🐜⚡

If you live anywhere near FM 306 or Canyon Lake, you already know Tawny crazy ants are taking over this summer. Those and fire ants, argentine ants, and rover ants can wreak havoc on electrical panels.

Unlike regular ants, they don’t care about standard store-bought sprays. They swarm by the thousands, invade porches, and love shorting out expensive electronics—especially septic control boxes, pump panels, HVAC units, and outdoor outlets.

If you've been fighting them with zero luck, Alternative Pest Control has targeted commercial treatments specifically labeled to break their crazy ant colonies and protect your outdoor gear.

We're right down the road in Startzville. Give Kristin a call at our office at (830) 899-5400 to get on the schedule before they fry your equipment! Share with neighbors so we can gain control over these invasive pests!!
