The standard 90-degree corner wouldn’t cut it for a landmark neighborhood.

At 110 Boerum Place in Cobble Hill, Brent Buck Architects and Brook Landscape are redefining modern multi-family design. Their goal is to create a soft, sculptural, monolithic facade that pays homage to Brooklyn’s historic masonry while making a distinctly modern statement.

To achieve seamlessly fluid corners, standard field brick isn’t enough. Our team manufactured a custom 8-inch-radius external radial stretcher to wrap the building’s geometry seamlessly, without sharp lines or awkward joints. By utilizing this dedicated external radius shape instead of standard square units, the masons can maintain a continuous, uninterrupted bond pattern across the entire city block footprint.

Paired with the rich, molded character of our Belcrest 500 brick, the facade dynamically catches light throughout the day, enhanced by deeply inset window reveals and structural arches.

Currently under construction, this project exemplifies how custom clay shapes can elevate architectural form from a simple wall to functional art.
