🌿 Another Chelsea, Michigan transformation! 🌿

This was such a fun project for these homeowners, who visit the property each month to spend time with their grandchild. With the landscape largely left unattended throughout the growing season, the beds had become completely overgrown.

Our team came in and got to work — removing a large amount of the existing plant material, thoroughly cleaning and reshaping the beds, transplanting plants, eliminating several garden beds, and installing fresh sod in their place.

The before-and-after photos really show the detail, craftsmanship, and dedication our team brings to every project. 💪🌱

From Drainage Problem to Beautiful Rain Garden 🌿🪨

This home was built within the last year near downtown Ann Arbor, and this rain garden was designed to handle the sump pump outlet.

The homeowner wasn’t quite sure what they wanted to do with the space—they just knew they wanted something beautiful, functional, and easy to maintain.

That’s where Mike and the team stepped in.

We removed the existing vegetation, saved and replanted what belonged, reshaped the entire area, and excavated the bottom until we hit sand to improve drainage.

Then we brought in 4 yards of float stone and a yard of 6–12” boulders to completely transform the space. 🪨🌿

Now this rain garden not only looks incredible, but it serves its purpose and is built to be easy for the homeowner to maintain.

We love bringing in different aggregates, stone, and natural materials to completely transform properties while solving real landscaping and drainage problems.

More Than Just a Cleanup 🌿🏡

This Dexter, Michigan project started as a cleanup and mulch job to get the property looking its absolute best for upcoming house-sale pictures.

But like so many of our projects, it turned into something much more meaningful.

We went above and beyond to make sure every detail looked incredible, and along the way, we had the opportunity to meet some truly amazing people. ❤️

This year has been exponential for our growth—not just as a business, but as a part of our community. Every project gives Mike and the team the chance to meet new clients, build relationships, and sometimes make lifelong friends.

Whether these homeowners decide to stay local or move out of state, we’re grateful that our paths crossed. At the end of the day, the relationships we build are what matter most.

We recently completed a patio restoration in Saline, MI! 💪

Our team power washed the existing patio, removed tree roots that had caused issues, and re-leveled the high and low spots throughout the patio. We then power washed it a second time to thoroughly clean and blow out the joints before installing fresh polymeric sand.

It’s always rewarding to bring an existing hardscape back to life! We truly appreciate these homeowners trusting our team with their property, and we’re looking forward to working with them again on future hardscape projects.

Over the past couple of weeks, our team was able to break away for a 3-day weekend up north and take part in a Bump & Run race at the Wayne County Fair! 🏁

What an eventful couple of weeks it’s been! On top of getting some time away, we’ve also completed (7) projects over the last two work weeks. 💪

We’ve been extremely fortunate this year to have an awesome team putting in great work day in and day out. We’re looking forward to the earlier mornings, later nights, and plenty more projects ahead as we continue to grow. 🌅🌙

And we’re not done racing yet! Our team will be back in action September 6th at the Washtenaw County Fairgrounds in Saline for Round 2! 🏁

We’d love to see some familiar faces out there cheering us on. Now it’s time to get the car ready for Round 2! 😎🔥

Over the course of 4 days, our dedicated crew completely refreshed this Ann Arbor property, including:

🌳 Pruned and cleaned up extensive overgrowth
🌱 Transplanted numerous perennials and shrubs
🧱 Installed a new paver patio sitting area in the front yard
🌲 Removed 2 large trees
🌿 Reshaped and redefined existing landscape beds
🪴 Relocated large planter pots
💧 Installed a new underground downspout drainage system, replacing the existing setup from a previous rain barrel and directing water to a pop-up drain in the lawn

Today our team got treated to lunch by 8 Point Building Supply as part of their Customer Appreciation Day! 🙌

Our crew walked away with some awesome goodies, including Unilock T-shirts, hardscape hats, pens, and plenty of other gear. And of course, the food was just as good as the hospitality — burgers, hot dogs, chips, homemade cookies, and my personal favorite… DONUTS! 🍩😂

We want to give a huge THANK YOU to the entire 8 Point Building Supply team for always going above and beyond for us. They have been an incredible company to work with and have become a huge part of our day-to-day operations. We get roughly 90% of the materials we use for our builds and creations through 8 Point, and they consistently help us get what we need to keep our projects moving.

From helping us track down materials, answering questions, loading up orders, and working with us on all the crazy projects we come up with, their team has always been there to help. That kind of customer service is hard to find these days, and we truly appreciate it.
