Now that the heat has ramped up we are getting flooded with calls. Please be patient and realize that we are doing our best to get to every call in a timely manner. Rescheduling emergency calls over others doesn’t mean we are ignoring your concerns, we just prioritize. Luckily our extensive customer base has been sympathetic over the past 4 years and understand.

Inconsistent walk-in cooler temps can be very annoying and detrimental to your operations. We strive to be able to find those issues and resolve them. Having the right equipment to locate leaks, diagnose electrical issues, and maintain proper pressures is our goal.

R290 (propane) systems are critically charged & high-efficiency
• That means they are WAY less forgiving when airflow is restricted

What happens when coils aren’t cleaned:
• Dirt acts like insulation → heat can’t leave the system 
• Head pressure rises → condensing temp goes up 
• Compressor runs harder and longer → amps increase 
• Eventually:
• High-pressure trips
• Poor cooling
• Compressor overheating / failure 

Why it’s worse on R290 specifically

This is the part a lot of guys miss in the field:
• Small refrigerant charge → no buffer
• Microchannel or tight condensers → clog faster
• Higher efficiency design → relies heavily on airflow

So a slightly dirty coil on R404A might limp along…
But on R290 → it falls off a cliff fast
