The classic white picket fence hasn't disappeared - it's been re-imagined in low-to-no maintenance vinyl. This sweet customer also requested a charming entryway of the same high-quality material. We think she chose very wisely!

Off-the-chain proud of our crews for bustin' their backsides to complete the fence replacement project at the Greenwood Cemetery here in Cañon City in time for today's Memorial Day ceremony.
The U.S. flag was first raised at the G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) section, with the American Legion Color Guard and the Marine League and Greenwood Guard, and the CCHS JROTC Guard. A volley and taps were presented.
At the close of the 19th century, the GAR Society, in concert with the Cañon City Council, set aside a plot, ironically perhaps, in the north end of the cemetery for Confederate veterans to be interred, along with a monument to their memory.
A pair of Civil War soldiers - one from the GAR, one from the CSA - presented colors and a volley.
"Though men deserve, they may not win success. The brave will honor the brave vanquished none the less."

With the weather heating up, it might be time to think about summer gear for the crews:
