It's official — emerald ash borer was confirmed in Southern Colorado on August 5.
If you have an ash tree, this matters. Untreated ash trees don't survive EAB. Healthy ones can be protected, but preventive treatment has to happen before the tree is heavily infested — once it's badly damaged, there's usually no bringing it back.
Not sure if that's an ash in your yard? Two dead giveaways: branches grow directly opposite each other, and the bark has a distinct diamond ridge pattern. Swipe through the photos above.
We're doing free ash tree assessments. We'll look at your trees, tell you honestly whether they're worth protecting, and walk you through the options — no pressure either way.
