What a busy weekend. First off, the building materials auction in Richmond was a huge success. If you don’t already, follow Peak Auction to find an auction near you and pick up some amazing deals. This weekend we picked up a few thousand square feet of hardwood flooring to prepare for the new construction project on the river. We also got new cabinets, top quality lighting, some toilets, trim and plumbing fixtures for the Wickham flip house. Special thanks to Troy Ward and Claude Morrissey for coming to our rescue with another truck and trailer to haul it all home. I also need to thank Dan and Anna Rumcik for their help at the auction and for partnering with me on the flip project. And finally, a huge shout out to Noah Knowles and his crew for getting a new roof put on this house while we were away this weekend. They accomplished in a day what would have taken me 3 days. Success is not possible without surrounding yourself with the best people. I am beyond thankful for everyone who helped out this weekend.

It’s time to grow. Planting the right seeds now so that the fruits of our labor will continue to be harvested for years to come.

So,.. as many of you know, I’m in the process of growing my business again. In the coming months I am going to be looking for skilled carpenters, roofers, framers, masonry people, concrete people, exterior contractors, interior contractors, plumbers, electricians, anything and everything that has to do with building and remodeling. I have a 12 month+ waitlist on remodeling jobs that I simply can’t do on my own. But I am going to build a team that can help. I also have my first home build in the works, and two other interested clients that want to have custom homes built. On top of all of this, I’m looking for property to continue building custom homes on.

Long story short, I’m looking for the best of the best. My subcontractors MUST be insured with workman’s comp and general liability. And have a good track record with their clients and be able to provide references.

I’m willing to offer better than average pay for better than average contractors. I want to form relationships with people who are great at what they do, and those relationships may turn into partnerships if we continue to grow into building subdivisions.

I have had several people message me over the last few days. I try my best to respond quickly, but something is wrong with my phone, or the app itself, because it’s not working on the computer either. To answer some, in a nutshell we are currently booking for the fall of 2021. We are currently booked for the next 6 months. If you have a small 1-2 day project, and we are already in your area, we will try to fit you in, but larger projects take time. Thank you all for your love and support!

New adventures. I have always enjoyed learning new things, and most recently have focused on roofing. Koch Renovations is now offering roof replacement services. We have helped with roofs for years, but always had an experienced roofer like Randall Jenkins leading the job. Recently we have had a lot of requests for roofs and are trying to meet the current demand. If you need a new roof, give us a call. We will be happy to help if it’s within our ability, or refer you to someone who has the skills to properly protect your home.
