With its smooth, shiny finish, semi-gloss is ideal for high-traffic areas like trim, doors, windows, and cabinets. It’s resistant to moisture and stains, making it perfect for kitchens, bathrooms, and hallways. You’ll love how easy it is to wipe clean, especially in areas where spills and splashes happen often.

However, that glossy finish can highlight imperfections in your walls or trim, so it’s important to prep surfaces properly. If your walls have imperfections or you’re painting a ceiling, a more matte finish may be a better choice. While semi-gloss can work for high-moisture areas like bathrooms, typical ceilings tend to look better with a flat or matte finish.
