One of our favorite projects in 2025, from an open flat roof to a complete deck - safe and ready to entertain.
The process started with a video call in February of 2025, where we went through multiple design iterations and engineering evaluations to come up with the final layout and material choices. With that complete we began the process of getting first the HOA sign off from the (5) units in the building, and then proceeded to file the building permit with Cambridge for official city approval. ✅ A good plan is paramount and we go by the book every step of the way.
We would like to express a huge thank you to for providing the 2’x2’ hardwood deck tiles, as well as their pedestal system foundation that allowed us to create a perfectly level deck over a sloped roof area. One advantage of this system (pun intended) is that it allowed us to skip an expensive crane service and hump the materials up the stairs ourselves. Successful construction is reliant on both intelligent design and the strength of our backs, and it was no small effort to take this vision and turn it into a lived reality. This was a team effort all around, including an our client who held the line and trusted us with the opportunity to perform.
