Anode rods are meant to be replaced! Like the brake pads on your car, they aren’t intended to be left alone forever. Neglecting this part of your traditional water heater can lead to poor water quality, premature rusting, and overall shorten the lifespan of your water heater. Manufacturers recommend a yearly flush of all water heaters which is a good time to inspect the anode rod to see if replacement is necessary. We know most homeowners don’t even realize that this is a thing. Call us today to schedule your water heater flush and check your anode rod, your future self will thank you!

City of Camas is requesting no unnecessary use of water for the next 24-48 hours.

UPDATE: We have posted a water system update here: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1F6Xhgr9rU/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Attention! The City is currently experiencing significant water supply challenges due to four municipal wells being temporarily out of service for repairs. Unfortunately, a series of unrelated issues happened causing the wells to need repairs. As a result, reservoir levels are being depleted faster than they can be replenished.

To help maintain adequate water supplies for essential needs and emergency response, the City is requesting that all residents and businesses immediately suspend outdoor irrigation and other non-essential water use for the next 24 to 48 hours. Residents may also experience lower-than-normal water pressure while the City works to restore its water supply system.

Maintaining sufficient water reserves is critical to ensuring reliable water service and adequate fire protection capabilities throughout the community. We ask all customers to take this request seriously and do their part to conserve water during this temporary situation. City staff are actively working to return the affected wells to service. We are hopeful that a couple of wells will be restored and back online by the end of today, with additional wells to follow as repairs are completed.

We appreciate the community's patience, cooperation, and understanding. Updates will be provided as conditions change. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.

Please note, we will try to provide an update on the status tomorrow, June 17.

What’s going on behind your walls? A few years ago this customer had a remodel and unfortunately when installing the trim they nicked a pipe with a nail.

Two different metals + moisture = electrolysis eating away at the pipe.

Why did it take so long to show itself? Check out our latest blog post on https://www.maxwellplumbingpnw.com/when-the-walls-talk-hidden-leaks-and-mold
