Happy Father’s Day to the guy who started it all.

Most people know Chad as the owner of LionHeart Concrete, but those who know him best know that being a Dad is what matters most to him. Every long day, early morning, and late night has always been about building a life for his family.

When Chad started LionHeart, he built it on the values that matter most to him: hard work, honesty, kindness, and taking care of people. Whether he’s helping a customer, supporting a local event, volunteering his time, or simply checking in on someone who needs it, he genuinely cares about the people around him and the community we call home.

The same patience, strength, and heart he brings to his family are the same qualities he brings to LionHeart every day.

Today we’re celebrating a husband, Dad, business owner, and a man who makes our community better simply by being part of it.

Father’s Day may be tomorrow, but today we’re celebrating one of the Dads behind LionHeart Concrete.

Most people know Brad as the guy who can spend a day being a pro on the golf course, but around here he’s also the one helping keep the company on track behind the scenes. As one of the people who helped build LionHeart from the ground up, his support, guidance, and steady hand have played a huge role in where we are today.

More importantly, Brad has always been the kind of father who encourages trying new things, taking chances, and stepping outside your comfort zone. That support is a big reason Chad had the confidence to take the leap and build something of his own.

When he’s not helping keep the company running smoothly, you’ll usually find him spending time with his dog, Hunter, often making trips to the dog park. He’s also a proud grandfather who loves his grandkids dearly and never misses a chance to brag about them.

We’re grateful for everything he does for the company, but even more grateful for the example he sets as a father, grandfather, dog dad, and family man.

If we’ve seemed a little quiet lately, blame a combination of the seasonal ick making its way through our house and some very exciting news…

LionHeart Concrete has officially been voted into the Top 3 for Best General Contractor in BOTH Stanwood-Camano Best and Skagit County Best!

Six years ago, this company was built on a dream, a lot of hard work, and a belief that doing things the right way still matters. To see where we are today is honestly humbling.

Thank you to our incredible community, our friends, our family, and especially our crew. Every project completed, every recommendation shared, every vote cast, and every opportunity you’ve given us has helped get us here. This recognition belongs to all of you just as much as it belongs to us.

One of our favorite things about these community awards each year isn’t just being nominated. It’s getting to vote for all of the amazing local businesses that make Stanwood, Camano Island, and Skagit County such incredible places to live and work. The recognition these awards bring to small businesses is invaluable, and it’s a reminder of how powerful a community can be when it chooses to support local.

Whether a business makes the Top 3, wins their category, or is simply nominated, it’s a celebration of the hardworking people behind the scenes who keep our communities thriving.

One of those projects that’s hard not to stop and stare at for a minute. 👌

Gilpins Falls wood plank stamp with a walnut base and deep charcoal antique on the patio, walkway, and curbing. The color contrast and texture came together so well on this one.

Concrete that looks like wood will never stop impressing us.
