I find this so interesting to watch 🌸

The cacao flowers I don’t hand-pollinate usually drop the next day, while some of the ones I pollinate stay attached and start growing into these tiny cherelles. (I call them “baby cacao pods,” but that’s not really the correct term 🤭🤫)

Of course, that still doesn’t mean they will make it all the way to a mature cacao pod… but I love observing how my cacao tree reacts.

These little ones are still growing for now 🤎

The fruit chocolate comes from is finally growing in my living room… but I’m not celebrating yet 😅

And yes… I ended up putting one of my baby cacao pod under my microscope 🧐

So much happened with my Alocasia Frydek variegated and she gave me this almost completely white leaf 😅

My homegrown Cacao tree update :
Day +5 after hand pollination

This is my first cacao flower ever. She opened on July 5 2026, and today July 10, the flower is still attached 😍

The flower base looks like might be starting to swell : you can see a tiny rounded bump forming in the middle of the flower base 🥹

I also tried pollinating a second flower, but that one dropped the next day. So I’m definitely not calling this a success yet 😅

But this first one still being attached at Day +5 feels very encouraging.

With cacao, the o***y has to keep growing before it can become a tiny cacao pod. However there is still a possibility that the fruit fell before maturity, its still very early to celebrate...

Maybe… just maybe… this could be the first step toward my first homegrown cacao pod 🥹🍫

Still not confirmed, but definitely exciting!! 🤞

After waiting for this to happen for so long... its finally happening ! My indoor cacao tree is FLOWERING 🤯

Now a new experiment is starting, maybe one day I will grow my own cacao pods in my living room ...😁🍫

My cacao tree growing in my living room is starting to flower 🤯.. and he is not even 3 years old yet !!

Some avocado seeds in my 100+ avocado seeds experiment germinated in under 2 weeks and these ones took over 5 months !!

Same method but completely different timing...

The germination phase is basically over now, lets compare what each seedling becomes 🥑👌
