Gardens for the Home and Heart Creating beauty and joy in the world, one garden at a time. Unlock the secrets to a thriving garden tailored to your needs with specialized consulting services.

Gardening isn't just a hobby for me; it's a part of who I am. With a garden as a constant companion through the years, I’ve discovered the therapeutic power of soil, the joy of seeing a seed sprout, and the satisfaction of a harvest reaped from dedication. I discovered the magic of gardening at age of 5, planting the seeds of passion alongside my granny. From those early days, I have cultivated an

understanding of plants, seasons, and the intricate dance between nature and nurture. With roots deeply embedded in the soil, they have fostered gardens that tell stories of love, patience, and the joy of seeing life bloom. Having started this green journey with my granny at such a young age, I have now assumed the role of mentor, passing down generations of gardening wisdom. My knowledge, honed through half a century of hands-on experience, has turned gardens into thriving ecosystems, rich with diversity and beauty.

A trip to Tractor Supply means it’s time for a little Flock Central refresh! 🐓🌿

We made a trip to restock some of the essentials and pick up a few things to keep our flock happy, healthy, and entertained.

Between feed, supplies, and all the little things that come with caring for a growing flock, there’s always something on the list. 😂

Flock Central is constantly evolving, and we love finding ways to make it better for our feathered crew. One trip at a time, one project at a time. 🤍

A little more magic has found its way to Whuka Farms. 🧚🌿✨

Our fairy garden has grown a little since the last time we shared it. We’ve added a few new details, a few more tiny homes, and a little more charm around the old tree stump.

It’s one of those projects that doesn’t have a finish line. Every now and then we’ll find a new piece, get a new idea, or move things around, and the little fairy village grows right along with the rest of the farm.

We like to think that every homestead needs a touch of whimsy, and this little corner is ours. 🤍

What new detail catches your eye first?

“They said owning a farm would be peaceful…” 😂🌿

Nobody mentioned the cuts, bruises, scrapes, and the occasional trip to get patched up.

Today’s farm lesson came with a bandage and a reminder that homesteading isn’t always picture-perfect. Sometimes it’s fresh eggs and beautiful sunsets… and sometimes it’s bleeding on the way to the ER.

Would we trade it? Not a chance. 🤍

Just another day in the life at Whuka Farms.

I am so happy that we created this kitchen garden close to the house. Kitchen gardens are great way to enjoy some fresh veggies without taking up a lot of space.

The farm garden (pics to come) that was meant to give us staples for most of the year is a total loss. It rained so much and i didnt have the time while i was still working to keep ip with it. Now we will just start over with some quick growers like okra and beans in hopes to get a harvest before frost. And then whatever area we don't plant we'll start prepping for a fall garden and next year.
