Before and After. As many home owners know or will find out soon enough. A home with Masonite siding normally only has a couple of expensive repair options. Masonite was discontinued during Covid. Typically when I look at a home with Masonite I suggest fixing the rotted or damaged areas with plywood then tyvek and vinyl siding or Ascend composite installation. You can patch the said areas with plywood cladding or concrete board of your choosing. However the outcome does not match the old Masonite. So I always go for the replacement of the entire exterior. In this case, this home had exterior walls that had been kept hidden from the elements under a porch. We carefully removed the Masonite and went back with pine tongue and groove for an accent wall. We used the old masonite to replace the weathered areas and painted the exterior of the home SW Alabaster. Our team installed new bronze screen eze on the porch and a new bronze aluminum storm door. They installed new black shutters as well as a new chimney cap. The guys repaired the sheetrock ceiling in both the porch and garage and painted too. We saved our customers a lot of time and money.
