Improving one property at a time… ✨

This was one of our last projects of 2022.. just some plantings to do yet in spring. This client had old stone retaining walls and concrete steps that were failing. Although we love the look of natural stone, this property needed serious retaining, so we installed blocks that are pinned together for added strength and stability. Machine access was limited because of the tight space, so it had to be something the guys could lift manually.
We discovered 2 additional layers of concrete steps under the existing one so it became obvious this landscape was never built properly and kept failing. We removed everything in order to have an even, proper base and we started fresh. This will last more than a lifetime now!

The guys have been working hard on Pewaukee Lake…building retaining walls, steps and soon a patio. We’re dealing with about a 16’ drop in grade in a pretty tight space! Nothing is impossible tho 😉. Stay tuned for the finished product.

The guys finished up this flagstone patio and walk yesterday. I think they did an awesome job! 🤩

This beautiful stone is quarried right here in Chilton, Wisconsin. Doesn’t it look like it would come from the southwest? 🏜

It’s been a minute since we’ve posted, but we are alive and kicking! It was a busy, but rewarding summer for sure. Here’s a recently finished project that really adds warmth and curb appeal to this home. Before (see the last photo) there were some settled concrete steps, which we replaced with natural, weathered edge limestone steps and a paver walkway. The stone planters add dimension to the sloped front yard.
