10 years ago today, FCC’s office caught fire.

Today, we stood on those same front steps for our team photo.

A lot can happen in a decade.

We rebuilt more than a building. We continued building a team, expanding our capabilities, investing in our people and growing the company that has called West Michigan home since 1959.

The building behind us may look different than it did 10 years ago, and our team has certainly grown, but the things that carried FCC through that day are still at the heart of who we are today: hardworking people, strong relationships and a willingness to come together and keep moving forward.

There’s something pretty special about looking at this photo and seeing nearly 80 people standing in front of a place that, a decade ago, had to be rebuilt.

Ten years later, we’re still here. Still growing. Still building.

And we’re grateful for every person who has been part of the story.

Meet Scott Rodgers: Site Work Foreman and part of Team FCC since September 2023.

As a site work foreman, Scott helps lead the work that gets a project started from the ground up. From moving dirt and grading sites to coordinating crews and equipment, he helps make sure the groundwork is done right before everything else follows.

When we asked Scott what he likes most about working at FCC, he pointed to the variety of work, the people he gets to work alongside, and how well he's treated as part of the team.

No two days or jobsites look quite the same, and that's part of what keeps the work interesting.

Back to school means back to filling these courts.

As students across West Michigan head back to the classroom this week, we’re proud to see another piece of FCC craftsmanship welcoming them back.

FCC fabricated and erected this custom steel entrance arch for the Coopersville High School tennis courts. It’s a small piece, but one built with the same attention to detail we bring to every job.

We’re proud to build in communities across West Michigan and to see our work become part of the places where people learn, work and play.

Here’s to a great school year, and to students, teachers and staff everywhere heading back this fall.

A training space built for the people who know these machines inside and out.

The Kawasaki Tech Center gives technicians 19,000 square feet of dedicated space to learn, work, and train, from hands-on equipment bays to classrooms and gathering spaces.

We’re proud of how this project came together and even more proud of the team behind it. Now, it’s an ABC Western Michigan Excellence in Construction Award nominee.

More space, more natural light and a layout built around the way Cedar Rose Salon & Suites works.

For this project, the team transformed the salon with floor-to-ceiling windows, new wash stations, a new shampoo bar, a dedicated color room and additional space to better serve their team and clients.

It’s a finished space that feels like Cedar Rose and gives them room to keep growing.

More room to work. More room to grow.

FCC Construction partnered with Tool-N-Die Inc. on a 9,000-SF addition to their Wayland manufacturing facility, complete with a new 10-ton overhead crane and a second parking lot.

The design-build project was completed in seven months and gives the Tool-N-Die team additional manufacturing space built around the way they work.
