Yes we need to charge for Yardwaste drop off and here's why!

We are a small, private yard. It takes a lot of time and effort to keep the Yardwaste process running efficiently.

Things we need to stay on top of to ensure a proper Yardwaste facility:

- Continuously flip and rotate piles to ensure it's all breaking down well
- call the fire department for burn permits and burn brush when we get too much
- stay on top of said fire to keep it manageable and able to be put out before closing time
- Screen broken down Yardwaste into nutrient dense topsoil
- separate mixed loads into appropriate piles
- Pick out trash to ensure a clean product (yes, even though we tell everyone no trash, we still get a lot of it hidden in there. Trust us, we've seen it all)
- stay on top of monitoring customer loads and where it is being dumped.

Not to mention the repairs, fuel and maintenance on our loaders, screener, and bulldozers!

So what you see as a little bit of Yardwaste, we see as a tiny piece of a MUCH bigger puzzle!
