That’s a wrap on our work on Concrete Central's new building in Byron Center.

The building’s structure itself is nothing short of impressive, and to us, it showcases the qualities of the materials and the true craftsmanship of our trade.

It took our team only 7 weeks to complete this project.

In 4 weeks we laid the complete shell of 30,000 structural block, and in 3 weeks we completed the exterior veneer with 22,000 4” architectural CMU.

The speed at which CMU walls can be built, the quality and durability of the materials, and flexible design options are why many commercial construction projects consider CMU. This building will provide a durable and energy efficient space that will serve Concrete Central well for years to come.

We’re honored to have been awarded the 2026 Excellence In Construction Award in the Masonry category for our work on the Acrisure Amphitheater!

Special thank you to Associated Builders and Contractors, Western Michigan Chapter for the recognition, and for a great evening of celebration last Thursday with members of the local construction industry in Grand Rapids.

Progress continues at the Harvest OPC project in Wyoming. Our team is currently installing 4” splitface and groundface veneer to match the existing building.

Driving down 131 near 100th street you may have noticed a new building under construction. We’re excited to collaborate with AVB to help build the future home of Concrete Central!

Our team has been working hard on constructing the building’s large CMU walls and exterior brick. With over 400’ of Hydromobile set up our crew is flying!
