It’s a great way to get together with friends, cheer on the kiddos, and support a local charitable organization doing good right here in the Gorham community. Mark your calendar for Friday, October 16!

The Reed Allen Community Fund Golf Ball Drop is back for 2026, and it lands right in the middle of Homecoming. Hundreds of numbered golf balls are released from a Gorham Fire Department ladder truck high above a target at midfield, and where your ball comes to rest decides what you win.

You’ve probably driven through Sanford and noticed the mountain of concrete sitting at the future site of the Sanford Fire & EMS headquarters. 👀

Well, now you know what’s happening with it!

Our mobile crushing and screening plant is on site and getting to work. 🚧 The project is officially underway, and we’re excited to watch this project start to take shape!

Clean as a whistle, but not for long! We've recently added three new triaxles to the GSG lineup🚛 Give 'em a little time and they’ll be covered in dirt, hauling material, and doing what they do best - keeping our jobs moving.

Big shoutout to Whited Peterbilt of Maine for helping us add these to the fleet!

The Evergreen Cemetery's expansion project in Portland is getting drainage and paving upgrades - new rain gardens with help from Salmon Falls Nursery & Landscaping for storm water management, and fresh binder pavement throughout the site

A few weeks ago, this site was just getting started - now it’s really beginning to take shape! Steady progress continues at Pearl Street in Biddeford, and it’s great to see the vision coming together. 🚧

What a day! Last Saturday we hosted our annual Coworker Summer Party, and we had our largest crowd yet with coworkers and their families coming out to join the fun. We had awesome food from Brian's BBQ Grill, a driver obstacle course, co****le, a raffle with great prizes, and plenty for the kids to enjoy too - including a sandpile with golden egg hunt, mini excavator operation, rock pet station, and a petting zoo from From Hens to Heifers. Dottie's Ice Cream Truck helped keep everyone cool and happy.

Big thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a fun day!

⚠️ PSA from GSG ⚠️

We’ve noticed more people, especially young folks, spending time in and around our operations while we’re actively working. These are active mine sites with serious hazards, so we ask everyone to please stay out, respect the area, and talk with your kids about the dangers.

Yesterday, we hosted a group of ambitious students from the Maine Construction Academy for a day of hands-on learning. We put their teamwork to the test with a Gravel Compaction Relay (there some serious competition out there), gave them a behind-the-scenes look at how our projects come together from start to finish with an office tour, and wrapped it all up with a visit to an active jobsite to see the real work in action.

Big thanks to Associated General Contractors of Maine for partnering with us to help introduce these students to the opportunities waiting in the trades!
