The Secret World Beneath Your Floorboards! 🛠️đźŹ
Ever wonder how your bathroom actually works? This incredible miniature model by Craft Skills fits a whole plumbing system right in the palm of a hand, and it’s the perfect way to understand the "invisible" engineering in your home.
Plumbing isn't just about sticking pipes together; it’s a calculated science of gravity and flow. Here’s the breakdown:
The "Side Streets" (2" Pipes): Notice the sink drain? It uses a 2-inch pipe. Since sinks mostly handle water and soap, they don't need massive volume. These smaller pipes are designed to maintain enough "scouring action" to keep themselves clean without taking up too much space.
The "Highways" (4" Pipes): The toilet and the main lines use 4-inch PVC. Why? Because they have to handle a high volume of water (and waste!) instantly. A larger diameter prevents pressure build-up and reduces the risk of those dreaded clogs.
The Flow of Logic: Everything travels from the smaller branches into the main 4" "stack," which then carries everything safely away using a precise slope (usually 1/4 inch of drop per foot).
It’s easy to take indoor plumbing for granted until something goes wrong, but seeing it on this scale reminds us of the technical precision required to keep our homes clean and functional. 🧪✨
Kudos to the craftsmanship here—making complex engineering look this small is a skill in itself!
