The American Old West -- nostalgic to so many Americans because of the many Westerns we consumed. And why did we love the Westerns so much? Because overwhelmingly, we wanted to see the good guys win. When we wanted heroes, we found a good John Wayne movie, or a Chuck Connor or Chuck Norris episode. It didn't matter whether there were vintage guns in their hands -- what mattered is that the good guys in the white hats won and saved people's lives.

Likewise, the Bible reveals that Jesus Christ's purpose on earth was clear: He came to bring life, to save life, to be the Savior of the whole world. He's the best hero anyone has ever known. ❤️

Reason #4: Separation Anxiety

Usually separation anxiety is a term applied to what a young child feels when when faced with having to leave his mother, even when boarding a school bus. But in this case, it may be felt when you are faced with having to send your Bible away to have a new cover made and put on. You are not a child and the Bible is not your mom, but you have a close relationship with The Heavenly Father, and His Words in your copy of the Bible are your lifeline. Yes, you could read the pew Bible at church or borrow someone else's for your devotional time, but it won't be the same.

So you can't imagine sending it somewhere else, when the turnaround could be as long as a year.

The mathematical and scientific discoveries of Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727) are astronomical. Some of the most notable of his achievements include the invention of calculus, the discovery of the laws of motion and the law of gravitation, and the construction of the first reflecting telescope. He also was a man known for his Christian faith. He spent a great portion of his time studying the Bible with a special interest in prophecy.

At the time of his death, he left more than a million words of notes on the Bible. Six years after his death, Observations Upon the Prophecies of Daniel and the Apocalypse of St. John was published. Not only was Isaac a great scientist but also a dedicated student of the Bible.

Sometimes our customers have a vision that exceeds our abilities. When that happens, we don't hesitate to recommend other businesses who can accomplish what we can't. And then, the "Impossible Dream" becomes reality.

Such was the case with these two customers. We sent custom made genuine leather covers to Joy Creative, who worked with our customers on the design work for their engraving projects. When Joy Creative was finished, they returned the covers to us to be applied to our customers' Bibles.

Aren't they beautiful? We could do the same for you. Do you have an Impossible Dream? Or maybe you really like one of these ideas. The important thing is that leather has to be vegetable tanned to avoid toxic fumes from the engraving. And we have quite a few vegetable tanned leathers that would be perfect for the job. That includes all the goatskins and the hand-dyed English calf.
