Honored to share that the Fuller Park Pool House restoration project received the 2025 Award of Merit from International Concrete Repair Institute - ICRI Chicago Chapter

We were proud to serve as General Contractor on this important restoration project for the CChicago Park District with our sister company, SBK Building Restoration, LLC, performing the masonry and concrete restoration work.

This project focused on stabilizing and preserving a historic structure while maintaining its original craftsmanship and character. Highlights of the restoration included:

• Hand excavation and underpinning of settled column footings using hydraulic rams and steel supports
• Replicating original column base rings with custom-built formwork
• Traditional rammed concrete repairs using custom repair materials designed to match the original structure
• Hand-forming deteriorated column repairs to preserve the historic column profiles

Proud of the entire team whose craftsmanship and dedication made this recognition possible. Thank you to the Chicago Park District and ICRI Concrete Repair Chicago for the opportunity and recognition.

What you don’t see is a moment when high winds made it unsafe to handle roofing materials. Instead of pushing through, the team paused work, held a safety huddle, secured all materials, and shifted to ground-level prep until conditions improved—keeping both the crew safe and the schedule moving.
