Ben's Painting & Restoration

Some finishes deserve a closer look.

The depth of the color. The way the light moves across the surface. The detail that turns a front door into a statement piece.

I’m excited to share that Ben’s Painting & Restoration is developing a relationship with a European paint company to bring premium European paints to Burnsville, the Twin Cities, and beyond.

My goal is to pair these fine paints with 20 years of painting experience and meticulous preparation to create something truly special. Rich color, exquisite finishes, and craftsmanship you can see up close.

I look forward to sharing more as this develops. If you’ve been imagining an elegant entryway, beautifully refinished cabinetry, or standout architectural details, let’s talk about your vision.

Is your concrete so dirty I can write “I love God” in it? 😂 You need to give me a call!

I also want to give a big shout out to John, one of the newest additions to Ben’s Painting & Restoration. He’s a fellow veteran doing amazing things in his life, and I’m proud to have him on the team. His four legged sidekick is pretty great company, too! 🐾

As a veteran myself, I’m proud to employ veterans, including those living with disabilities. Working alongside these guys, sharing a sense of purpose, and doing work we can all be proud of means a lot to me.

When you support our business, you’re supporting the people behind it. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to earn your business! 🇺🇸

A lot of people think power washing is just pulling the trigger and spraying dirt off. There is actually a lot more to it.

You need to know what surface you are cleaning, what is growing on it, which cleaning solution to use, how strong to mix it, how long to let it work, and how much pressure the surface can safely handle. Concrete, siding, wood, brick, retaining walls, and roofing all need to be treated differently.

Using too much pressure can etch concrete, scar wood, damage siding, strip paint, and blow out mortar joints. Using the wrong cleaner can discolor or damage the surface. Doing it properly means getting the surface clean without destroying it in the process.

This retaining wall is a good example of what the right equipment, chemicals, and experience can do.

The first building is officially complete, and I’m pretty damn proud of this one.

There’s something different about standing back at the end of a long day and looking at a project you helped transform from start to finish. Being back in the trades, running Ben’s Painting & Restoration again and doing the work I’ve loved for more than 20 years feels incredible.

The last few years gave me a completely different appreciation for days like this. I don’t take the ability to work, build something, solve problems and come home tired after putting in a solid day for granted anymore.

Starting over in a new state and rebuilding a business from the ground up isn’t easy, but seeing this first building finished reminds me exactly why I decided to do it.

I’m grateful to God for opening doors, grateful for the people who have given us an opportunity, and excited about where this company is headed.

We’re going to build Ben’s Painting & Restoration around quality work, superior craftsmanship, taking care of our customers and creating opportunities for veterans who want to work and be part of something bigger.
