😍The Ferraris moved into Crystal Drive, not exactly sure what “home” would feel like yet. Turns out it just needed the right colors!

It started simple — their son didn’t quite feel right with his new bedroom being pink… so Daniele called White Oak Painting after finding a door hanger advertisement on his front door handle.

🙏He knew he wanted to find someone to take care of their painting who was reliable and competent and who would take good care of his family. With our team taking care of them, they realized they wanted more than just the one bedroom.

By the time they wrapped up the project, they had painting done through the grand entry, the master suite ceilings, the upper library, and a fresh whitewash on the basement fireplace!

None of it was in the original plan, but once they realized what was possible, they knew they wanted to do more to make their new house feel like home.

That’s the part of this job homeowners love most — not just the painting itself, but discovering what “home” looks like for them, one room at a time. People move into new homes every day, but they are moving into someone else’s design, someone else’s color choice, and someone else’s memories.

And it’s absolutely amazing what a simple paint job can do to transform a new house and make it feel authentic and personal. It finally feels like home! 🏡

💪 Check out our new training room 💪

Typically, most new painters are going to be getting trained inside of the home of active job sites, so we just wanted to enhance our process by incorporating a new training room into our new office space to give our new people experience with our interior process, before they step 1 foot onto an interior job site.

This not only gives the painters more confidence to be able to show up to the job saying I already know how we do things, but it also gives the homeowners more confidence knowing that we’re bringing people that are experienced on our process 👌🎨

Jim and Janet have lived in the same home for more than fifty years.

They raised a family in it. Hosted every holiday in it. Walked the same hallway so many times they stopped seeing it.

And somewhere along the way, the walls stopped feeling like them.

The toasted tan had been there for decades. It wasn't ugly. It was just tired. It made the rooms feel darker than they were, and older than they were.

Janet said it best: the house didn't quite feel like theirs anymore.

The hard part was never deciding to paint. It was not being able to picture anything different.

So that's where we started — not with a quote, but with a conversation.

Beautiful Burlington Homes Deserve To Be Preserved 🙏🎨

This Bittersweet project was such a cherished experience. The couple was an absolute delight to work with, AND there is now one more Burlington Bute that has been shown the care it deserves, with the promise of a 15 year+ finish! 🙌

There's a reason that CARE is our first core value in our C-R-A-F-T lineup. Homeowners more than anyone else in a community deserve incredible care. They are trusting strangers to come and work in/on their home, and taking a huge risk! They deserve to be met with the most intentional and heart felt service, showing that they are worthy of not just an answered phone call, but a tailor made service to their unique needs.

🏠Burlington Homeowners, does your siding look faded on the southwest side, and you've tried to wash is but it comes right back?

What's happening is the UV Rays from the sun are actually breaking down the sheen barrier to your paint coating, causing it oxidize. So if you wipe your hand accross it, you'll probably see a chalky power on your hand!

Why does this matter? Over time, the color doesn't just fade, the paint surface is breaking down and wearing away, sometime exposing bare metal or bare wood on certain sidings. This can obviously then lead to rust or even wood rot on wood sided homes...which then leads to the actual integrity of the home beginning to break down. 🤯

Paint looks nice and all, but it's actually the protective barrier to your home too, making sure it keeps contaminants out.

Think of paint as the skin of your home! Sure, sometime it can look nice, but you definitely don't want it wearing away! 😬

Meet Marleen and Keith. They caught the oxidation on their home just before the oxidized and raw metal started to rust. We were able to not only remove the oxidation dust with the help of King Kleen, (you shouldn't paint over dust and regular washing doesn't get rid of it), but then we coated it in a long lasting rust inhibitive primer from Sherwin-Williams called ProCryl. It blocks in the metal and any rusted components making sure it's ready for the top coat.

In iowa, we can get all four seasons in 1 day! So we wanted to use a high quality acrylic based paint that will LAST and hold up to the UV that is obviously still wanting to wreak havoc on the siding. But we protected it with the liquid armor of Sherwin's Emerald Exterior Satin. ☀️

Not only does the couple LOVE the way it looks now, but they also have the confidence that they can enjoy their home stress-free without risk of oxidation for 10+ years! 🙌

☀️ This Couple Moved To Illinois – Can You Guess Where From? 

We had the pleasure of transforming this beautiful home into a sunshine paradise for our wonderful clients! It was so fun to bring their hometown with them to their new home in Illinois.

So often people settle with their home as is when they first move in, however, true enjoyment of a home only comes when that home feels like you. When it matches your personality. When it makes you smile and inspires you every single day to live out who you are.

This is the kind of thing it gives us so much joy in painting for homeowners, because we have the unique opportunity to bring new life to their home and make enjoyability of their life even more meaningful!
