Penelec wanted this one down for a solar farm project thats going in. We set a yank ‘em rope in this maple with the bucket and gave it a tug. Always good practice to throw a wedge in as a precaution whether you think you need it or not and its also an early indicator that the kerf is opening……or not opening.

Thank you to all of our customers for such a great season. All new work from today forward will be booking in spring unless it is emergency work. Our goal is to provide a quality service and maintain great working relationships with our customers. We are at the point of over extending ourselves if we book any more work for this fall because we always are at the mercy of when winter weather will set in and shorter daylight working hours coming our way. A lot of cut and drops today. We had some climbing and roping involved in the maple to bring down the dead lead over the fence line. All the ash were pretty straight forward with minimal persuasion to steer them where i wanted them. Spent a lot of time cutting and not so much time getting pictures.

This white pine was held together with a 3300lb strap that had grown into the tree about 20’ up. These fractures in the stump were about 4’ above the ground and the 3 leads above that point just fell apart when loading. This tree was in the ballpark of 90’ tall and looked perfectly healthy at first glance

A couple of our jobs from today…. We cleared some waterfront for lake access and a view along with some lower limb trimming, thinning and lowering of the bushes at the water front to gain some view of the lake but maintain privacy. We did some
Other work at the lake for another customer, unloaded, and then did more trimming at our 3rd job. Once that was done we finished up with 4 cut and drops. We layed some larch down for a customer who is putting up a building and is prepping the area to start that project.
