"It's not leaking, so it's fine."
We hear this constantly, and it's one of the most expensive assumptions a homeowner can make.
Roofs are tougher than people think. It takes real failure across multiple layers before water ever reaches your drywall. That's good news for how your roof was built and bad news for how you find out something's wrong, because the leak is the last symptom, not the first.
If you can see it from inside, it's been going on a while.
Get someone up there before it gets to that point, and make sure they show you photos of what they found. You should be looking at the same thing they are.
