Indoor air quality is often overlooked and more times than not, buying the “expensive” filters seems like the right thing to do. While filtration is important, managing infiltration is superior. Equipment cabinets have seams and other openings. While running, your unit can and will pull in unconditioned and unfiltered air.

Once that air has been pulled in the unit, all the organic material has been introduced into the system as well. The unit is dark, cool and has moisture from the condensation. Perfect environment for biological growth to thrive. Eliminating the points of infiltration, cleaning the area, treating the condensate pan with tablets and proper airflow/ filtration are the keys to great indoor air quality.
