Press Release - Death Investigation Town of Porter

PORTER, - On March 9th, 2026, at approximately 15:24 hours, the
Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a
911 call for a male that had been seriously injured while cutting
a tree.
Upon arrival, NCSO Deputies and EMS personnel located the 59-
year-old male and began to rendering aid. Ultimately the male
succumbed to his injuries.
The incident remains under investigation by the Niagara County
Sheriff’s Office. The name of the deceased male will not be
released at this time, pending notification to the family.
