🎉 Congratulations to Our Newly Promoted Leaders! 🎉

Watts is pleased to announce the promotions of three outstanding team members whose dedication, expertise, and leadership have helped shape the success of our firm.

🔹 Kevin Janik, PE has been promoted to Vice President. Since joining Watts in 1997, Kevin has played a pivotal role in growing and leading our Regulated Building Materials Department, expanding services across New York State and supporting hundreds of projects annually. Kevin's dedication to the firm, depth of expertise, and forward-thinking approach have been instrumental to Watts' success, and we are excited to see his leadership continue to shape the firm's future.

🔹 Jeanette Koch, PE has been promoted to Highway Department Manager and Principal. Over her 25-year career with Watts, Jeanette has consistently delivered complex transportation projects while building strong client relationships and mentoring the next generation of engineers. In her new role, she will continue driving the growth and success of our highway, transportation, traffic, drainage, utility, and stormwater services.

🔹 Timothy Major, PE has been promoted to Bridge & Construction Inspection Department Manager and Principal. During his 28 years with Watts, Tim has established himself as a respected leader and skilled engineer. He will continue overseeing our bridge design and construction inspection teams, ensuring seamless project delivery, strong team collaboration, and exceptional client service.

Join us in welcoming Grant Dollmann, Emanuel Duran, Pat Leahy and Anthony Fazio!

Grant Dollmann joins Watts’s Environmental Department as an Environmental Compliance Technician. He will be working full-time out of Syracuse on the I-81 project. Grant is excited to get into the field, collect data, and work alongside others toward a common goal. He enjoys hands-on work and finds it rewarding to contribute to projects that make a meaningful impact.

Emanuel Duran is working out of our NYC office. He will be a part-time, as-needed Project Monitor/Air Sampling Technician. He commenced his position on May 28 and we sent him to support our team at SUNY Farmingdale.

Pat Leahy has joined the firm as a Construction Inspector. Pat has made his triumphant return to western New York - from Alligator Alley in Florida - to handle inspection duties on the Kortwright Road Bridge in the hamlet of Niobe. (If you don’t know where Niobe is, you’re not alone.)

Also joining Watts as a Construction Inspector is Anthony Fazio. Anthony Fazio is a recent graduate of U.B. His positive attitude and willingness to tackle any project, should be something we all emulate. Anthony is assigned to three different NYSDOT construction projects in the Southerntier.

Grant is pictured here, and we're excited to welcome the rest of the group as well. Since the other three team members went straight to the field, we'll share their photos once they have a chance to visit the office.

Watts is pleased to welcome Louis Albano to our team as a Project Engineer in our Transportation Department.

Lou brings valuable experience in site and structural design, along with a strong technical foundation and a passion for continued growth within the transportation industry. We are excited to have him join our team and look forward to the expertise, energy, and fresh perspective he will contribute to our projects and clients.

A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, Lou has already sparked a friendly rivalry with our University at Buffalo community, making him a great fit for the collaborative culture here at Watts.

Recently, Watts was very happy to welcome Tom Gulya and Jacob Gorski to our Regulated Building Materials Team.

Tom joins our Brooklyn office as a Senior Environmental Manager. Tom is helping to manage our NYC area portfolio and mentor our Brooklyn office team. He has a wealth of industry experience, and we can't wait to see his potential soar!

Jacob joins our Buffalo office as an Environmental Technician/Project Monitor. He is a recent graduate (magna cm laude!) from UB with a bachelor’s in environmental geosciences. He brings an enthusiasm and a drive to succeed, a perfect fit in our RBM group!

Watts is proud to be a Bronze Sponsor at this year's Northeastern District Annual Meeting in Newport, Rhode Island. The annual meeting gathers transportation experts from the northeastern region of the United States. Paul Pfleuger from Watts is there this week, enjoying the sunshine for those of us that aren't seeing any. Wishing everyone at the meeting makes meaningful connections and finds inspiration in this year's themes, circling around: Vision Zero, Innovative Transportation Solutions, Travel Demand Management, Special Event Planning, and Coastal Resiliency.

For those that don't know what ITE stands for, they are: "a Community of Transportation Professionals (ITE) that works to improve mobility and safety for all transportation system users, helping to build smart and livable communities."
