If you have a frost free faucet or any faucet outside you left hose hooked up to over winter be sure to have some one inside when turned on in case they here water spray inside to shut off outside before major damages done it’s that time of year don’t just turn on hose and not go inside for a period of time may cause some damage. Even if no hose was left on good to check this.

With the amount of snow this winter season if your sump pump is older may not hurt to test it. There are back up pumps but they are only designed for short time periods with power failures. When pump runs a lot in summer or all year 5 year old pump could be old and due for replacement, if it runs very little could last much longer. From my experience they usually fail at the worst time possible best to check them or replace them before it’s and emergency.

Please turn your lights on when you drive anywhere if it’s snowing or blowing visibility is low and your tail lights are off with most automatic running lights. parents inform your children why it’s important lights are there for more than you to see it’s for people to see you.

Just as a reminder flushable wipes and other heavier fabric items shouldn’t be flushed majority of back ups in septic and sewer lined come from such items. Also hair and dental floss belong in the garbage can they do not break down and can cause larger problems. May even cause city water and sewer bills to go up even higher due to taking out pumps with stringy items. I found the picture online and thought how some things are avoidable. Egg shells coffee grounds and other non biodegradable items don’t belong in garbage disposal either.
