🥾 Hitting the Trails! 🌿

The Nussbaumer Hiking Club took advantage of the summer weather with an outing last month at Eighteen Mile Creek County Park in Hamburg, NY.

It was a warm day on the trails, but our hikers enjoyed the chance to get outside, explore some beautiful local scenery, and spend time together away from the office. It’s a great way to stay active and enjoy WNY's outdoor spaces.

Next up: The Eternal Flame! 🔥

Last week, Nussbaumer team members Chris Freese, Joshua Graf, Jennifer Witnauer, and Anna Swisher attended the Alfred State Fall Career Fair.

Our team had the opportunity to speak with students about careers in land surveying, construction inspection, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering, as well as future internship and full-time opportunities at Nussbaumer. We were impressed by how engaged, personable, and prepared the students were.

Thank you to Alfred State College - SUNY College of Technology for hosting such a well-organized and well-attended event, and to everyone who stopped by our table to meet the Nussbaumer team. We hope to see some familiar faces again as we begin recruiting for our Summer 2027 internships!

Our team was glad to take part in the NYS AWWA TIFFT Symposium right here in Buffalo last week! 💧 Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table.

Mike Marino, Amanda McNamara, EIT, and Madison Rich, PE, CDT represented Nussbaumer at the event, which provided fellow water industry professionals the opportunity to share ideas and learn more about the latest topics and trends shaping the industry.

Thanks to NYS AWWA for another great opportunity to learn, connect, and support the water community across New York State!

As summer winds down, we want to give a big thank you to our fantastic summer interns, Logan Stanczewski and Brendan O'Beirne!

Logan, an Electrical Engineering student at the University at Buffalo, spent his summer gaining hands-on experience both in the office with our engineering team and out in the field with our Construction Services group.

Brendan, a Civil Engineering student at UB, returned for his third summer internship with Nussbaumer, continuing to build his experience through a mix of office and field work.

We’ve enjoyed having Logan and Brendan with us full-time this summer! Brendan will continue to work with us throughout the school year as his schedule permits, and we hope to see Logan back with us next summer.

Thank you, Logan and Brendan, for all your hard work this summer. Best of luck with the upcoming semester! 👏🎓
