A restaurant in Schaumburg called us when their True prep table stopped cooling- a full rail of product and service coming up.
The unit was running constantly but never reaching temperature. The compressor was drawing current without building pressure, which is a classic sign it's failed internally rather than a control or airflow issue. We replaced the compressor, swapped the filter drier, evacuated and recharged the system, and cleaned the condenser coil while we were in there.
Before leaving, we ran the unit under load and verified it held proper temperature across both sections.
Prep tables usually give warning before a compressor goes - longer run cycles, temps creeping up in the afternoon, product warm at one end of the rail. Those are worth a service call, not a wait-and-see.
We provide commercial refrigeration and commercial kitchen equipment repair in Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, and surrounding areas.
