We believe quality shows up in the details.

It means doing what we say we are going to do. It means showing up prepared, communicating clearly, and completing the work the right way.

That standard guides every project we take on.

Smaller casing does not always mean an easier bore.

Once the diameter gets tight, operators lose visibility, access, and some of the ability to make adjustments inside the casing. That can make a smaller bore far more challenging than people expect.

Before a drill goes into the ground, you need to understand what is already there.

Atlas has invested in in-house utility locating to help support our crews and projects.

That includes privately locating utilities, helping confirm existing markings, and making sure crews have the information they need before drilling begins.

It is another layer of preparation designed to help our teams work more safely and efficiently.

Because successful drilling starts long before the first rod enters the ground.

Sometimes the biggest problems come down to basic planning.

If the shoring isn’t sized for the casing and equipment, the entire operation can come to a stop before the bore even begins.

There is always something else to learn in directional drilling.

Different ground. Different equipment. Different drilling fluids. Different tooling. Different challenges.

That's why training is a major part of how Atlas operates.

Our crews continue learning through hands-on experience, internal training, locating education, mud training, equipment training, and knowledge shared across the team.

Every bore gives us another opportunity to get better.

If you're looking for a career where learning is part of the job, Atlas may be the right fit.

This machine gets plenty of opinions.

Atlas has traditionally operated a lot of Ditch Witch equipment, but when we needed another dirt drilling rig, we decided to try something different and added a Universal 4055 to the fleet.

Why?

Adjustability, functionality, price, and the type of specialty work we perform.

After putting hundreds of hours on the machine, the crew has been happy with it.

Every piece of equipment has strengths and weaknesses. The important question is whether it fits the work you're asking it to do.

For us, this one has.

Experience matters when the margin for error is small.

Mistakes are part of learning, but some projects are not the place to learn the basics. That is why experienced operators are so valuable in underground construction.

At Atlas, we don't want an entire drill crew depending on one person.

Our goal is to cross-train our teams so crew members understand multiple parts of the operation, including drilling, locating, fluid management, and jobsite support.

Why?

Because crews work better when everyone understands the bigger picture. It also gives team members the flexibility to switch roles, help each other, and keep projects moving.

We're looking for people who want to learn more than one job.

We're looking for people who want to become better at the entire trade.

Some projects require a different approach.

In environmentally sensitive areas, auger boring can help reduce the need for drilling fluids, water, and downhole pressure while still maintaining the grade or pitch the project requires.

Keeping drilling fluid moving efficiently can make a major difference on longer HDD projects.

That's why mud reclaimers are an important part of the Atlas equipment lineup.

They help our crews manage fluid, monitor conditions, reduce unnecessary downtime, and keep drilling operations moving.

Like most support equipment, it may not be the first thing people notice on a jobsite.

But it plays an important role in helping the drill crew build a clean, successful borehole.
