Labor Day, the unofficial end of summer.

 As we take the day to unwind and relax from everything we want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported us this summer. The end of the season is getting closer and closer. And it won’t be long and calls for cleaning up those fall leaves will be coming in. We look forward to the end of the season for the break in the daily hustle. And also look forward to the start of the 15th year in business!! We wouldn’t be where we are if it wasn’t for the continued support from all of our clients!

Here’s a look at just a few of the properties we serviced last week. We will be gearing back up tomorrow to get back out and getting your yard looking it’s best again!!

Another week in the books!

Just a couple of the many stops we made this week. We’re now in the last full week of August and the end of the lawncare season is closer. With just about 8 more weeks it will be a wrap before we know it! Then we will be getting ready to mulch up those fall leaves as they float down from the tree limbs above.

With this feeling like one of the rainy summers we ever have had the grass is growing faster than ever. This is an example here of how fast it’s growing. This yard was cut two weeks to the date, as scheduled, and you can tell how much growth had by the clippings.

But by raising the blades up a half inch higher than the yard was mowed and running the opposite direction. The clippings were easily dispersed and made the end results look much better. And then with rain passing through just a day or two after the clipping is totally disappeared after being pushed down into the grass.

The calendar shows that fall is here on September 22. But by watching the trees around, they are dropping leaves sooner than normal. That could be a sign of early fall if so, we’ll definitely welcome it! Have you noticed the leaves in your area falling off some of the trees? It’s definitely not due to the lack of rain 😂.

When the conditions are unfavorable, we still make the best of what we got. This yard is not one of our normal yards we mow. It is a neighbor of one of out clients . They came over yesterday while we was out and they asked if we had a chance to mow their yard since their lawnmower was tore up.

It had been a few weeks since the yard was cut so we had to deal with very tall and thick grass in some places. To add to it, it had a light rain on it prior to us arriving. I used a technique used in other places, as needed, during times of thick grass. This method gives the yard a double cut slinging all the clippings in one direction. Giving the lawn a smooth finish.

This takes up a little more time to do so but for the best results this was the best approach. Knowing that everything was in tiptop shape and up to our standards when we left was the most important thing. The client was very satisfied with the end results and their yard looked 100% better than when we arrived.

Getting stung by a yellow jacket just after pulling out of the drive and then trimming a mile worth of barbed wire fence. It’s hot and humid with spotty rain around and were out getting it done!!

Two weeks ago we rejuvenated the flower beds at the wedding venue. Pulled the few newly emerged weeds and put down fresh pine straw. 28 bales later and three or four rain showers. We got it completed and the yard cut just in tome for a wedding that weekend.

A little rain again today didn’t slow us down! Going back at it again tomorrow with a higher chance of rain on the table...
