October is Gate Safety Awareness Month!

Gate safety is about more than just installation. It’s also about making sure your gate is properly maintained.

Heavy gates can crush, pinch, or strike both children and adults if they aren’t installed or maintained correctly. This applies to manual gates just as much as automated ones.

From a simple walk gate to a large automatic driveway gate, proper installation, regular maintenance, and the right safety features matter!

At Bartlett Fence, we believe safety should always be part of the job.

If you like the look of a cedar fence but want something with a little more detail, this is one to look at.

The cap gives the top a clean finished look, while the trim adds that extra detail that makes the whole fence stand out. It’s a classic style, but it doesn’t look plain.

This is one of those fences that looks even better once it’s all finished and you step back and see the whole thing.

When the customer finally says, “Yep, let’s go with your estimate”…

There’s nothing quite like getting that yes after putting together an estimate. Now it’s time to do what we said we’d do and give that customer a fence they’ll be proud of.

You said yes. We’ll take it from here. 😎

Some fence styles come and go, but dog eared cedar never really goes out of style.

There’s just something about that clean, classic look. It works with just about any home and gives you privacy without making your yard feel boxed in.

And when it comes to wood fencing, cedar is hard to beat. It’s naturally resistant to rot and insects, holds up well outdoors, and has a look that gets even better as it ages.

This is one of those fences that just looks right. Simple. Classic. And built to do its job.

Some days are harder than others. Things don’t always go the way you planned, and sometimes the only thing you can do is keep putting one foot in front of the other.

That’s where you find out what you’re really made of.

Keep showing up. Keep pushing forward. Keep doing the work, even when nobody is watching and the road ahead isn’t easy.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just don’t stop moving.

Keep going. Your story isn’t finished yet.

Fence It Friday!

Shadow box is one of those fence styles that just makes sense when you want a good looking fence from both sides.

The boards are staggered, giving you a finished look whether you’re standing in the yard or looking at it from the other side. It gives you privacy without having a “back side” that looks unfinished.

If you’re looking for something a little different than a standard privacy fence, shadow box is definitely worth considering.

Give us a call and let’s talk about what would work best for your yard.

September 23rd. Your birthday and the day we lost you. 💙

Eight years. Some days it feels like so much longer, and other days it feels like it just happened.

There’s not a day that goes by that you aren’t thought about, talked about, or missed. You left behind more than just memories. You left behind a family, a work ethic, and a legacy that continues to live on.

Bartlett Fence wouldn’t be what it is today without you. The foundation you built in 1994 is still standing, and we’re proud to continue building on what you started.

I know you’d probably have something to say about how we’re doing it, but I hope you’d be proud.

Happy Birthday, Rick. We miss you, we love you, and we’ll keep carrying your name and your legacy forward. 💙

September 23rd will always be your day. 🎂💙

Life is going to throw some hard days at all of us. There will be setbacks, disappointments, and times when you wonder how you’re going to keep pushing forward.

But those moments don’t define you. What you do after them does.

Keep your head up. Keep moving forward. Take the lessons, leave the doubt behind, and keep showing up for yourself and the people who count on you.

Some of the strongest people you’ll ever meet are the ones who’ve been knocked down more than once and still found a way to stand back up.

Whatever you’re facing today, don’t quit. Keep going. 💪
