Time to start winterizing your homes. Be prepared for freezing temperatures. And you know when we have feeezing temperatures and rain/snow, power outages happen.

Temps dip to freezing overnight November 10&11.

If you have outside pipes that may freeze, cover with insulation or leave a spigot dripping. Leave a kitchen or tub faucet at a slow drip but make sure the plug is out of the drain.

Cold weather is upon us. This week’s weather will be extremely cold for us, especially overnight. Most of this week we will be in the 20’s. Let your cold water run at night to help prevent freezing. Give us a call if you have a problem but remember we don’t thaw pipes and we cannot repair busted water lines until the temps are above 40. Our office number is 803-943-5236.

PSA please take the time and read this. I warn customers of this all the time. They fill up municipal sewer systems and septic tanks.

Just because something can be flushed down the toilet, doesn’t mean it should be.

I received this text message today from a customer. This just warmed my heart today. This customer is a blessing to us as well.

“I promise not to take advantage of having your cell number - I just want you and Dwayne to hear this today. When he knocked on my door this morning, I was still in my pajamas and embarrassed for him to
know what a slob I can be. He said all the right things to ease my embarrassment. He checked the toilets, and told me he'd be here next Monday or Tuesday - Thank you, Dwayne and God. He feels (as I have feared, this issue may be much more than a toilet leak - I so, so much appreciate his being honest with me!

And then, the greatest thing, ever - he sat down and VISITED with me! That truly was an awesome and amazing thing he did! I felt such joy that he would take time from his busy schedule and chat with me! This whole concussion/broken knee situation has been a lonely nine weeks. I have been so fortunate that my injuries were not worse or more painful; I have been pretty lonely and have not complained about it because God has blessed me in so many other ways. Your husband became my hero this morning and you, my heroine! I called you, you told him, he was at my house bright and early bearing y'all's cell phone numbers - it felt like a miracle to me! He was so kind, so understanding, so everything I needed! There are
not enough words to describe how all of this affected me. After he left, I felt such a sense of peace! I am not being dramatic; I can't remember having that feeling of peace and and peace of mind in a long, long time - it is a glorious feeling! Dwayne knows the problem, I have no doubts that he will deal with the problem, and I trust him completely - I will accept whatever he tells me knowing what an honest and good guy he is!

My thanks to both of you for your unending kindness and the blessing you and Dwayne are to me.”

The weather this week is going to be COLD. Starting Tuesday night, the nightly lows are going to be in the 20’s. To help prevent frozen pipes, please leave your water dripping. If your pipes happen to freeze, there isn’t anything we can do to thaw them. But, if you find that your pipes have cracked once thawed - call us and we will get to you as soon as possible.
