North Country Painters LLC is hiring full time painters to join our growing crew across Northern and Central New York.

We are a premium residential and commercial painting contractor serving Jefferson, St. Lawrence, Lewis, Oneida, Herkimer, and Lewis Counties. We hold our work to a high standard and we are looking for painters who hold themselves to one too.

This is NOT an entry level position. We are looking for experienced, skilled tradespeople who take genuine pride in what they do and understand that quality work starts long before the first coat of paint goes on any surface.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Experience operating airless spray equipment. You know how to set up, dial in, and operate a spray rig properly.

Strong brush and roller technique. Clean lines, proper cutting in, and finish quality that does not need to be touch up or cleaned up.

Attention to detail. You notice things other people walk past. You prep surfaces the right way because you understand that prep is where the quality is made or lost.

High personal standards. You are not looking for a job to coast through. You want to be part of something professional and you want your work to speak for itself.

Reliability. You show up on time, ready to work, every single day. Your crew counts on you and so do our clients.

WHAT WE OFFER

Starting pay at $21 to $28 per hour based on DEMONSTRATED skill and experience. Full time W2 employment at 40 hours per week, year round. Weekly direct deposit, always on time. Workers compensation and liability insurance coverage from day one. Consistent YEAR ROUND work across a growing multi county service area. A tight knit professional crew where your work is valued and your skills are respected.

What a transformation at Brite Orthodontics in Watertown NY!

Our North Country Painters team recently wrapped up the exterior painting at Brite Orthodontic, and this one came together beautifully.

There was a substantial amount of preparation needed before the finish coats ever went on, but our crew kept this project moving efficiently while maintaining the attention to detail and workmanship we expect on every job.

The end result is a building that looks clean, sharp, refreshed, and new again - and a great example of what proper preparation and quality craftsmanship can accomplish.

A big thank you to our crew for the work they put into this project and to everyone involved for the opportunity to be a part of bringing this building back to life.

The upstairs of the historic Elisha Camp House in Sackets Harbor is officially complete.

This was one of those projects that meant a little more to us.

Working inside a home with this much history, character, and original craftsmanship comes with a responsibility to treat it accordingly. This wasn't about making an old home look new - it was about refreshing and protecting the space while preserving the details that make it what it is.

Our work throughout the upper floor included extensive preparation and painting of the bedroom, bathrooms, hallways, stair areas, ceiling, walls, doors, trim, and the incredible original architectural details found throughout the home.

From the tall ceiling and detailed millwork to the fireplaces, transom windows, old doors, built-ins, and original wood floors, this house has character that simply cant be recreated today. We wanted the finished paintwork to complement those features rather than compete with them.

There was a tremendous amount of time, preparation, detail work, and patience involved in getting this portion of the project across the finish line, and seeing the upstairs finally come together has made it well worth it.

Projects like this are exactly why its incredible to do what we do. Being trusted to work on a property with this kind of history - right here in Sackets Harbor - is something we do not take lightly.

We're proud to officially call the upstairs of the Elisha Camp House complete, and even more proud that North Country Painters had the opportunity to be a small part of preserving the next chapter of this remarkable home.

Historic homes deserve more than "a fresh coat of paint". They deserve craftsmanship that respects what came before.

The North Country Painters team is getting after it this week at Brite Orthodontics in Watertown NY!

We’re hoping mother nature cooperates over the next several days so we can keep making progress and get this beautiful building looking the way it deserves.

This is one of those projects where the preparation is every bit as important as the painting itself. It’s been some time since the exterior has received a little tender love and care, so our team is putting in a significant amount of work into properly preparing the surfaces before the finish coats go on.

This means taking the time to address failing and loose coatings, thoroughly scraping and sanding where necessary, cleaning and prepping the surfaces, addressing problem areas, properly priming exposed substrates, and making sure we create a sound foundation for the new coating system.

Anyone can put paint on a building. Our goal is to make sure the work underneath is done correctly so that the finished product not only looks great, but holds up for years to come.

For commercial property like this, that matters even more. The exterior of a building is one of the first impressions customers have of the business inside, and we understand that we’re working on a property that represents the Brite Orthodontics team and their company every single day.

We’re extremely grateful to the great people at Brite Orthodontics for trusting North Country Painters to give their building the attention and level of care it deserves.

Now we just need a little cooperation from the North Country weather. 🤞

Some homes don't just need painting. They need to be treated with the respect they have earned.

This is the Elisha Camp House in Sackets Harbor NY, A Federal-Style home built between 1808 and 1815, listed on the national Register of Historic Places. Over two hundred years of history inside these walls. Original wide plank pine floors, hand-crafted crown moldings, Federal fireplace mantles, and architectural details that simply do not exist in modern construction.

Our scope on the upper level of this home included walls, ceilings, all time, crown moldings, doors, door casings, window casings, baseboards, and decorative woodwork throughout the bedrooms, hallways, stair landing, and bathrooms. Every surface prepared properly. Every coat applied to the standard this home deserves.

Working in a home like this is not just a job. It is a responsibility. The craftsmanship that built these rooms in the early 1800s set a standard - and we were not going to be the ones to fall short of it. We recently had the opportunity to return to this beautiful waterfront home in Henderson Harbor for additional work. While we were there, we took a moment to look back at a previous project where we refinished the ceilings, beams, walls, and trim throughout this stunning living space.

The finish had held up beautifully, the craftsmanship still stands out, and seeing how the homeowner has furnished and decorated the space made everything come together exactly as envisioned.

This is what happens when a project is done the right way from the beginning. Proper preparation, premium materials, and attention to detail create a finish that not only looks beautiful but is built to last.

A beautiful waterfront property. A timeless finish. A project we're proud to be apart of.

Recently completed along the St. Lawrence River in the Thousand Island, this lakefront home received a complete exterior transformation focused on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and long term protection from the North Country Elements.

From preperation through final coating, every detail was completed with the same standard we bring to every project. Do it right, or don't do it at all.

Currently on site in Antwerp, NY
We’re deep into one of our favorite kinds of projects. A brand new 5,000+ sq ft custom home build, and the crew has been busy getting every inch of it dialed in before the color goes on.

Every wall and ceiling has been fully primed and coated: including two vaulted ceilings that push past 20 feet. The scissor lift has been earning its keep this week. Over 50 gallons of primer and paint in already, and we’re just getting started.

Now comes the part we love most. Wall color goes on next, and this home is about to come to life. Every wall will be finished with Sherwin-Williams Emerald — because when someone builds a home like this, they deserve paint that’s built to match it.
