This project started with concerns about missing and rotted fascia and soffit that were no longer properly protecting the home. Another major transformation completed by Lightfoot & Lightfoot Construction LLC!

Our crew took on the complete clearing of this approximately one-acre property. The lot was heavily overgrown with trees, brush, and unwanted vegetation when we started. We handled the tree removal, brush clearing, stump and root removal, debris cleanup, and preparation of the property for its next phase.

The final grading was completed by another company that had already been hired for that portion of the project.

The before-and-after photos show just how much work went into opening up this property and turning an overgrown lot into a clean, usable space.

🔨 Another Lightfoot & Lightfoot Construction project coming together!

We’re getting close to wrapping up this beautiful second-story deck build! From the framing and support structure to the decking and handrails, it’s been great watching this project completely transform the back of this home.

We’re currently waiting for the new exterior door to arrive. Once that’s installed and the finishing touches are completed, we’ll be ready for our final inspection and another project in the books! ✅

And we may not be finished with this home just yet…

We’re already talking with the homeowners about some exciting future projects, including all-new siding and potentially enclosing the lower portion of the deck to create a comfortable, protected living space where their family can spend time together and enjoy their backyard throughout the year.

From DIY to Built Right. 🔨

This deck was completely transformed from the ground up. What started as a homeowner-built deck by the previous owners had numerous structural issues, weak points, and did not meet today’s building standards. Rather than trying to patch problems, we tore it down and rebuilt it the right way.

Working closely with Home Base Investments Group, we helped bring the homeowner’s vision to life with a beautiful composite decking and matching composite railing system. Not only does it provide a clean, modern look, but it also offers greater durability and lower maintenance than traditional treated lumber.

Every detail was built with quality and safety in mind. From the foundation to the final handrail, we ensured the deck met current building codes and was installed correctly, giving the homeowners peace of mind that they’ll enjoy this outdoor space for many years to come.

Another chimney transformation completed by Lightfoot & Lightfoot Construction LLC! 🧱🏡

Over the last couple of days, our team removed this outdated brick chimney that once housed a gas fireplace and restored both the interior and exterior so it looks like it was never there.

One of the biggest challenges on this project was matching the existing brick. This particular style was extremely popular in the 1980s but was discontinued in the 1990s, making a seamless repair nearly impossible. Instead of settling for an obvious patch, we carefully salvaged as many original bricks as possible and took the time to blend everything together for the cleanest finish possible.

The end result speaks for itself, and we’re proud of how it turned out.

Inside the home, we’re continuing the transformation with a modern farmhouse-inspired design, featuring a beautiful new electric fireplace, custom shelving, updated lighting, and a fresh, open feel that completely updates the space.

🚧 Today’s Project in Hendricks County! 🚧

Another exciting transformation underway for the Lightfoot & Lightfoot Construction crew!

Today we’re removing this outdated brick chimney from both the exterior and interior of the home. Once complete, it will look like the chimney bump-out was never there, giving the home a clean, seamless appearance.

Inside, we’ll be framing in a brand-new electric fireplace feature wall to create a modern focal point that completely transforms the living space.

This home has already come a long way—we’ve removed all of the popcorn ceilings and textures throughout the house, replacing them with smooth, modern flat ceilings. It’s amazing what a difference these updates make, and we can’t wait to show you the finished product!
