A bathroom that feels like a spa and still works for real life? That's the sweet spot.

Warm stone-look tile, a small-format shower floor with proper grip and slope, and clean lines that won't feel dated in ten years. As a remodeling contractor, we put just as much thought into what you don't see: bonded waterproofing membranes, carefully sloped floors, and water management done right the first time. A beautiful bathroom remodeling project only stays beautiful if the structure behind the tile is sound.

We're also big believers in curbless, zero-step shower designs. As a home builder focused on aging-in-place design, we build wider doorways and accessible features into every plan, so your bathroom stays comfortable and safe for decades to come.

✔ Bathroom remodeling with precise waterproofing systems
✔ Custom home builder for new home construction on your lot
✔ Fixed-price contracts with a 10-year structural warranty

From kitchen remodeling to whole home renovation and ADU builder projects across the Brownsburg and Zionsville area, one accountable team handles it all. Send Northwood Homes a message to schedule your free phone consultation and let's talk through your ideas.

Good siding work starts long before the first panel goes up.

The weather-resistant barrier underneath, the fasteners spaced just right, the trim details at every corner and window. These are the layers that protect a home through Indiana winters and humid summers, and they're the parts most people never see once the job is done. As a custom home builder, we don't cut corners on the exterior shell, because that shell is what makes a new home construction project last for decades.

With fall settling in across west central Indiana, it's a great reminder that a well-built exterior keeps your family comfortable no matter the season. Whether we're building on your lot in Zionsville or working as a general contractor on a whole home renovation in Avon, the same care goes into every wall we touch.

✔ Weather barriers and flashing installed with precision before siding goes on
✔ New home construction and home addition contractor work on your lot
✔ Fixed-price contracts backed by a 10-year structural warranty

The best homes are the ones where even the laundry room feels good to be in.

Built-in cubbies, open shelving, hanging space, and drawers right where you need them. Crisp white cabinetry paired with rich espresso uppers and warm wood-look flooring. Spaces like this Brownsburg laundry room are a good reminder that thoughtful design isn't just for kitchens and great rooms. As a custom home builder, we plan storage and everyday function into every corner of new home construction, right down to the mudroom and utility spaces.

That same detail matters in our work as a remodeling contractor too. Whether it's a whole home renovation, kitchen remodeling, or a home addition contractor project, we make sure the practical spaces get just as much attention as the showpieces.

✔ Built-in storage designed around how your family actually lives
✔ New home construction and remodeling handled by one accountable team
✔ Fixed-price contracts with a 10-year structural warranty

Crisp fall evenings and a fire going in the wood stove. This is the kind of room that makes you want to stay in.

Vaulted wood ceilings, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and windows that pull in every bit of autumn light. As a custom home builder, we design gathering spaces like this right into the floor plan, not as an upgrade you beg for later. Every home we build is on-your-lot new home construction, shaped around your land, your family, and how you actually want to live.

That same mindset carries into our work as a remodeling contractor too. From whole home renovation projects in older houses to kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, and ADU builder services for in-law suites, we handle it all as a true general contractor with fixed-price contracts and a 10-year structural warranty.

👉 The person who draws your plan also prices it and stays on site
👉 Accessible design like wider doorways comes standard in every plan
👉 Free phone consultation and on-site lot evaluation to get started

A shower like this changes how your whole morning feels.

Frameless glass, marble-look hexagon tile underfoot, and large-format wall tile with soft gray veining. Paired with warm wood cabinetry, it's a bathroom design that feels clean now and still will twenty years from now. That balance of timeless and practical is exactly what we aim for as a bathroom remodeling contractor.

Looks aside, the real work happens behind the tile. As a remodeling contractor and custom home builder serving the Avon and Brownsburg area, we use bonded waterproofing membranes, carefully sloped floors, and curbless, zero-step shower entries that make the space safer as you age. The same attention carries into our kitchen remodeling, whole home renovation, and home addition contractor work.

✔ Waterproofing systems done right before a single tile goes in
✔ Curbless showers and wider doorways built into the plan
✔ Fixed-price contracts with a 10-year structural warranty

A porch like this is where a house starts to feel like home.

Exposed timber posts, rich wood siding, a handcrafted entry door, and room for a couple of rocking chairs as the evenings turn cooler. Rustic details like these aren't an afterthought for us. As a custom home builder, we design covered porches and outdoor spaces right into the plan from day one, so they fit the home, the lot, and the way your family actually lives.

That same care shows up in everything we build. Whether it's new home construction on your land, a whole home renovation, or a kitchen remodeling project in an older house, the person who draws your plan is the one who prices it and stays on site until the work is done.

✔ Custom porches and outdoor living spaces designed with your floor plan
✔ Home addition contractor services for growing families
✔ Fixed-price contracts with a 10-year structural warranty

Should every builder do this standard?

In our utility closets, we drop the floor about 3/4" and add a floor drain.

Why? Because water heaters, HVAC equipment, condensate lines, and plumbing can all leak eventually. That small recessed area helps contain the water and gives it somewhere to go instead of letting it run out into finished flooring and the rest of the house.

It doesn’t add much during construction, but it could save thousands of dollars in damage later.

One of those little details that just makes sense.

Northwood Homes is hiring!

We’re looking to add someone to our team for finish carpentry and general remodeling work.

Experience in construction or finish carpentry is preferred, but we’re also willing to train the right person. An interest in woodworking, carpentry, and learning the trade is a big plus.

Our work includes a variety of custom home and remodeling projects, so this is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with their hands and doesn’t want to do the exact same thing every day.

Our primary work area includes Hendricks, Parke, Putnam, Boone, and Montgomery counties, with commute times generally no more than about an hour.

Pay will depend on skills and experience.

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, takes pride in their work, and wants to keep improving their skills.

Interested? Send us a message with a little information about yourself and any construction or woodworking experience you have.

Please share this post — you may know exactly the person we’re looking for.
