Sometimes, the problem is underground.

Your water heater may be giving you warning signs before it actually fails.

A small amount of water around the tank. Rust or corrosion. Loose connections. Inconsistent hot water. Water that doesn’t seem to stay hot as long as it used to.

None of these should automatically mean “replace the water heater.”

The first question is: what’s actually causing the problem?

GMP Plumbing provides residential water heater repair and replacement, including traditional tank and tankless water heaters.

For older units, we can evaluate the condition of the system and help determine whether repair or replacement makes more sense for the home.

Plumbing Tip:
The EPA recommends regularly inspecting water heaters for leaks, corrosion and loose connections. It also recommends annual flushing to reduce sediment buildup, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Replacement is recommended, due to internal build up and even if the unit is still working, every 10 years.
