Site visit today at UNC Chapel Hill to view construction progress and to scrutinize a few on site mock-ups for finishes and to sort out a few details. It seems like now that details are resolved and finishes are finalized, it will be a push over the summer to be open for the fall semester. A solid and collaborative GC on this project and great support from UNC facilities will help us pull this off.

Excavation work for foundations of two small residential additions on a house in the Bronxville area of Westchester County. The one on the west side went as planned and the one on the south encountered a rock ledge about a foot below the soil. Redesigning the south foundation as a FPSF (front protected shallow foundation) to save the project budget and schedule. I hope the town inspector will approve this change…..

Formwork is now in place to pour the addition foundations in a few days. Steel for the frame arrives on site in two week...
