Decarbonizing the world's legacy buildings The Kelvin Cozy is a smart, internet-connected, thermostatic cover for radiators.

We're a NYC hardware startup solving a 100-year-old problem: the lack of comfort and efficiency in steam heated buildings. Buildings outfitted with Cozys save up to 45% on heating costs, and residents with Cozy are able to control their heating temperatures for the first time in the history of steam heated buildings.

As we head into a new heating season, we’re taking a look back at last winter and celebrating our Super Savers. These five buildings topped the Kelvin leaderboard for energy savings in the 2025–26 heating season:

47-10 Laurel Hill Blvd – 43.6%
695 Walton Ave – 37.0%
731 Gerard Ave – 33.6%
721 Walton Ave – 31.9%
751 Walton Ave – 31.1%

Want to see your building on next season’s leaderboard? The 2026–27 heating season is just getting started, and there’s still time to make it your building’s best yet. Visit www.kel.vin or send us a message to find out what your building could save!

The Kelvin team recently took a trip to Coney Island to celebrate the last of summer before heating season begins 🎢!

While we had fun riding the roller coaster rides, we want to make sure that your heating season doesn't feel like one. We're here to make sure you and your residents are comfortable this winter, with no sudden temperature drops or heat spikes.

TRVs have long been an accessible option for radiator heating control, but as technology has progressed, there are other options on the market, like smart radiator covers (like the Cozy).

We've decided to compare the two to see which option provides the most benefits in the long run.

We recently finished installing Cozys in a Brooklyn co-op building, and we're very happy with how they turned out! Take a look and see if you can spot the Cozy 🔍

We're excited to welcome Kavan Pujara and Christina Pena to our Sales team as Business Development Representatives!

Christina is joining Kelvin after spending nearly a decade of her career in the medical field. After deciding that she wanted a career change, Christina pivoted towards clean energy and completed various building energy courses.

Kavan graduated from the University of Albany and after spending some time in solar energy, he decided to focus more on building energy sustainability.

Congratulations to both!

Last Thursday, the Kelvin team made their way to Dock 72 in the Brooklyn Navy Yard to participate in the 2026 Energy Summit & Expo hosted by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce! As always, we enjoyed talking with our industry peers and want to thank everyone who stopped by our table to learn about our building decarbonization solutions.

Just spotted 👀: A Clinton Hill Co-op apartment with a Cozy Custom featured in New York Magazine's Curbed section!

14B comes with an architect-designed kitchen, Blomberg appliances, a recently renovated bathroom, ample natural light, and best of all, a Cozy to keep you comfortably heated in the winter. What more could you ask for?
